Enjoy exploring Buck Lake with our self-serve kayak & Sup Rentals
Buck Lake is a paddler’s dream — with over 21 miles of shoreline and countless bays, it offers endless routes to explore by kayak or paddleboard. Located next to a quiet Alberta farming town, the lake features a diverse shoreline teeming with wildlife. Glide past beavers at work, spot blue herons, loons, pelicans, and mallards, and paddle beneath the bridge to discover hidden bird nesting grounds and a nearby beaver dam. The many sheltered bays create a unique experience that feels intimate, even on a larger lake. Whether you’re out for a short trip or a full-day adventure, Buck Lake offers something new around every corner.
Help me to choose my equipment:
What do you want to do?
Cruise and explore: A sit inside kayak is the most comfortable cruising vessel. Stay dry (ish) and enjoy the view and workout.
Swim and sun: A standup paddleboard is the easiest equipment to get back onto if you want to go swimming. Be cautious on a windy day that the paddleboard doesn’t drift away. A paddle leash is included and should always be attached. Our paddleboards have a storage space in the front.
Easy paddling: The sit-on-top kayaks are stable and fun, great for beginners.
Our Location
The kayak rental stand is located next to the public dock at the Day Use Area. Free parking and washroom facilities onsite. Camping available as well, book ahead online.
